About Us
Meistersingers is an international online competition for musicians of any age and professional level. We welcome all, from beginners to experienced artists. As musicians, we need to receive professional feedback on our music. That is why the First Prize winners of the Meistersingers competition have a unique opportunity to participate in online master classes given by the jury members and receive instant professional feedback. The Meistersingers jury is made up of concert artists and pedagogues from various countries. Participating in the Meistersingers competition you become a part of our community. The Meistersingers competition gives a valuable opportunity to meet other musicians, cooperate and be useful to each other.

GUIDELINES
AGE GROUPS

A – Age 9 and younger

B – Ages 10 to 11

C – Ages 12 to 14

D – Ages 15 to 19

E – Ages 20 to 24

F – Age 25 and older


For «Orchestra», «Ensemble» и «Сhoir» there are two age groups:


Juniors – Age 18 and younger

Adults – no age limits


Participants must be of qualifying age as of November 1, 2024 for the upcoming competition.

The auditions are held online, the participants should upload their videos to the YouTube channel.

The program of the competition performance should consist of two or more works, various in character and style. It should include at least one work created by a composer born before 1850.
The duration of the competition video recording should not exceed 15 minutes.

Video Recording Requirements
The video should be recorded on the video camera or mobile phone fixed on a tripod. All pieces should be recorded in succession, no editing is allowed. The video should be shot horizontally in at least 1080 resolution. The video recording should be made no earlier than October 1, 2024.

- a scanned copy of the participant’s passport or birth certificate;
- a scanned copy of personal data processing consent (including the consent to publish the participant’s video).

JUDGING & RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT
A panel of international judges will evaluate the video material submitted, and the final selections of winners will be based solely on the video recordings uploaded on YouTube.

AWARDING THE WINNERS AND PARTICIPANTS
Financial conditions
Solo performers pay a fee of 30 Euro while submitting their application on the competition website. Orchestras, ensembles and choirs pay a fee of 60 Euro (from the group). Application fee via bank payment is due in full, and will not be refunded by the competition board.

Our jury is made up of internationally renowned musicians and pedagogues.

The Jury members are entitled to choose a Grand Prix winner among the First Prize winners of all categories and age groups.

Awards for participants, teachers and accompanists

First Prize winners of all categories and ages get an opportunity to have a 30-minute online masterclass with a member of the Jury. The competition prize-winners can be invited to perform gratuitously in concerts as well as offered to participate on special terms in other competitions and events organized by Ivan Pokrovsky School.


The teachers and accompanists of the winners receive Certificates of Excellence in recognition of their commitment to music education and students’ achievement displayed on the Meistersingers Competition. The certificate will be sent to the email address indicated in the application form.
